This is a low calorie, flavor packed salad or sandwich dressing to add to your collection of vitamix weight loss recipes.
I have incorporated a lot of salads into my diet lately. We all know that salads are healthy, but most of the time the nutritional value of a salad is negated by the globs of creamy/oily dressing we slather into our leafy green treats lunches.
Whenever I use the BBQ, I prefer to use a straight charcoal grill. I prefer the taste of food cooked with charcoal, and I like the process of lighting the coals with my charcoal chimney. Some people in my condo building don't like the smell of the coals and are always complaining, so I recently purchased a Weber Q200 gas Grill for my balcony. Now I can still grill, and add to my library of Vitamix weight loss recipes.
I couldn't wait to BBQ some healthy grilled chicken, so I came up with a little marinade in the vitamix blender and will now share some of these vitamix weight loss recipes with you.
I lost 8.4 pounds in week one of my vitamix and weight loss journey. My weight fluctuated a bit over the weekend. I attended Wordcamp over the weekend and didn't have a lot of time to make my vitamix shakes and did not eat as well as I could have. I probably could have lost even more weight, but I will take 8.4 pounds of weight loss in one week. This week I will create some more recipes and post them, and hopefully drop another 8 pounds!
This is a nice breakfast smoothie that is healthy and will keep you full for awhile. It has fiber, protein and all natural sweeteners. I am storing this one under vitamix weight loss recipes.
The goal: Green smoothie weight loss. Find delicious ingredients at the farmers market.
The Irvington Farmer's market opened up yesterday. I was running out of ingredients for my vitamix smoothies; this was the perfect opportunity to support local farmers and restock on essentials that I need for the next few days. Green smoothie weight loss doesn't have to be a chore.
File this under vitamix weight loss success stories.
I am now on day 3 of this plan, diet, lifestyle change, whatever you want to call it. This morning I weighed in at 296 pounds on the dot, 1.8 pounds lighter then I weighed in yesterday and 6.2 pounds lighter then I weighed in on day 1. I think we can call this day a success in vitamix weight loss success stories.
Again, I don't expect these results to be typical, as have a lot of excess weight to lose. But the results are encouraging. Here is what I ingested yesterday:
I woke up today at an uber encouraging 297.8 pounds. A little over 4 pounds lighter then I was on day one of this diet. Obviously I won't incur these results every day, but this was encouraging, especially for day 1.
I had two meal replacement drinks yesterday. The banana/yogurt/flaxseed/steel cut oat smoothie and fruit and green smoothie that I have yet to name. Here is the recipe.
Here goes nothing: my first post documenting vitamix and weight loss.
I have had my vitamix blender for about 2 weeks now. During that time I have made some different types of whole foods and vegetable drinks and I am pretty confident I can stick to this plan. I repeat this phrase in my head every day: vitamix and weight loss.
I had my first physical in a very long time today. I weighed in at 302 pounds. My liver enzymes were three times higher the normal limit. My cholesterol is high. My blood pressure has not improved a whole lot. Today I start the "diet". It's more of a lifestyle change than a diet.
